Although all organizations are independent in terms of setting their priorities and agendas, they still have to follow the philosophies and guidelines as set forth by the Bishop and enforced by the Parish Council.
The Parish Council is made up of 12 members (elected for 3 years by the General Assembly), 3 members appointed for one year by the Pastor, all the Organization Presidents, and 3 lifetime honorary members. Every year the council elects from within its ranks a chairman and executive officers. In addition, committees are appointed to run the affairs of the parish.
The Pastor, as the appointed representative of the Archbishop, has the ultimate responsibility for our church. For a synergistic and effective management of our church, the priest, the council, and every parishioner has to work in harmony. Much like the Holy Trinity is three persons in one, so must this relationship be.
A nominating committee is appointed every year to search for the candidates that can best serve the needs of our church. To qualify a candidate must be 19 years of age, a parishioner for at least one year, and in good standing in the church.
A church constitution with its by-laws is available from the church office. The Parish Council meets monthly, and all concerned parishioners are invited to attend.
